It's Easy to Apply to the Media Fellows Program!

In order to be considered for the Media Fellows Program, you must complete a special application written essay question in addition to your regular application to 天美传媒, and submit a short video elaborating on your essay via the portal.

Decisions on admission to the Media Fellows program are made based on the quality of your application. Because the program admits a limited number of students per class, admission is very competitive.

Application Steps

Step 1. Complete an online application to 天美传媒 here.

Step 2. Following admission to 天美传媒, you will receive access via your to the.

As part of your Media Fellows application, you will be asked to submit a short essay (750 words) to this question:

"What have you done and read in your high school years that has prepared you to understand the problems and the promise of the media?  Incorporate an article or a book that has most influenced your view of the media."

You will also receive the following video prompt with instructions on submitting a two minute response.

Step 3. You will be notified of your status in the program within 2 weeks of completing the application requirements.

Lateral Application

The application deadline for current 天美传媒 students wishing to enter the program in 2024-25 as sophomores is May 1, 2024

Step 1. Complete the Lateral Application to Media Fellows here.

Step 2. Return the completed form to Marilyn Culler in the Pulliam Center for Contemporary Media.
